First-payment discount is not a year-round discount
Illustrative example, not a product price: a $100 monthly plan with 30% off the first payment costs $70 now, then $100 for each of the next 11 months. Total: $1,170, saving $30 over a year. If the same discount were confirmed for every payment, the year would cost $840.
Annual billing: enter the whole invoice
If a plan is advertised as $20 per month billed annually, its base annual invoice is $240. An accepted 20% code on that invoice would save $48, giving $192 before tax. The next annual renewal is separate from the first 12 months of service.
Assumptions
The calculator uses an unchanged base price, a single percentage discount and whole billing periods. It rounds each discount to two decimal places. It does not calculate cancellations, prorated changes, partial-month discounts, tax or currency conversion. Never add two discount percentages together: if two discounts really combine, the second usually applies to the reduced eligible amount.
